13 years

Today I have been married for 13 whole years.  Lucky me, since I blog every day in November, and my anniversary is in November, I don’t forget 🙂  I’m glad we have been so lucky to have added 3 crazy girls, and an even more crazy puppy to our picture.  Can’t forget all the other pets that have come and gone and all the experiences that make a marriage a life.

The day was very productive as I tried NOT to think about the election tomorrow.  I did my computer work and then just kept the phone handy for when people had questions online and tried to do other things.  I went to the police station to drop off cookies, I went to the bank to drop off money, I went to storage to drop off Halloween/summer, and then since I need balance I picked up groceries and exchanged an unworking CD player I got at the thrift store for a set of pants.  I also cleaned the garage for an hour, cleaned the house for a while, baked 2 pies and 2 dozen muffins and did all the laundry.  Amazing what you can get done when you need to keep your brain busy.

I am missing a few pieces of my anniversary tradition.  My albums and special candle are all in storage but my wedding dress is not.  Don’t ask how that was not taken away when things I actually use and miss are stuck in storage but I didn’t let the chance pass.

As always, I don’t actually care that it does not fit.  It hardly fit the day of and I’m really more fond of my muscles now.  I wore the dress for kid drop off and cookie break and then changed back because dresses that don’t zip up are also pretty hard to keep on so it was getting annoying.  I have told a few people about this tradition and they nearly all think I’m crazy but I still like this dress and when else can I wear it?

The campaign just wiggles into my brain so in order to not write more about it I need to go work out until dinner.  We are not doing anything too special tonight but this weekend we are running away together for our first solo night in years.  I actually think the last time we were away overnight together was before Fiona was born….

Be back tomorrow!
