Walking and stuff
So my quick post from last week proclaimed to the world that our baby has joined the world of bipeds. She still gets around much more quickly crawling and that is her go-to mode still but walking allows her to carry stuff (not in her mouth) and she gets alot of joy from bringing things to and fro. She also started stacking things, I’m sure that is a milestone of some sort, but she is an obsessive stacker and will stack and unstack and re stack things, even things that don’t really need to be stacked. All this physical development is cool and I definitely give partial credit to daycare, but I wish she spoke English not just baby goat.
She is still the highpoint of my day. Right now work particularly sucks is full of opportunities since another supplier has bitten the big one and I must resource and re-validate four items. The charming part of this one is each item belogs to a different engineering group so I either need to find times that work for four different engineers, or, do four meetings weekly until this is fixed. At least we are good at this process, this is the second supplier to ‘die’ recently. I thought Obama was going to fix this? In some ways I’m glad for the challange and I’m very glad to be necessary to my job so I’ll keep doing the best I can. The down side it this seriously cuts into my blog reading and writing time.
I have finally finished one organization/home improvement project, the orange wall and shelf mission. This started about a month or more ago and slowly slowly got done. Tonight I finally got the stuff up and semi arranged. Lars was a good help and Niamh even helped today by handing me stuff. It probably took a month because I kept choosing napping or TV watching to actually doing but relaxation is as good as organization.
