Sunday

(still no baby)

This weekend was busy busy, I dragged mom all over the place and got alot of stuff done.  Saturday we went to Costco and stocked up  on lots of stuff, then we went to DSW warehouse and we got great deals on shoes.  I got a great pair of work shoes almost exactly like the ones I have now and love but are wearing out, a pair of adidas running shoes, and a pair of cute heels .  Mom got sucked into the sketchers flats revolution (I have 2 pairs and resist all the new cool patterns) and she got some hot pink flipflops and a pair of her preferred running shoes that were super clearance.

Then we hit Target and returned some duplicates and got the crib mattress and a garbage can for diapers (very exciting stuff).  Finally we went to the regular grocery store and by the end of the day I think I walked many miles…

Sunday we woke up early to go to Aikido for mom, the dojo was very easy to find and everyone seemed nice.  I brought thank-you cards to write but forgot half of the cards at home so I only got half done.  After Aikido we went to babies-R-Us and returned the last thing (a THIRD play gym) and exchanged it for a neat diaper bag and a set of bassinet sheets.

… Speaking of bassinet – I do not know if it will beat the baby here because it isn’t due until the 5th so there may be a laundry basket day or two 😉

Finally, this afternoon we whipped the baby room into organizational shape – the first diaper change at home should go pretty well or atleast the wipes and diapers are in logical spots.

Tomorrow I am going to try and get as much work done as possible because since they are predicting a nice big snow storm that seems like a good time to go into labor.

In our family lore, it’s considered bad luck to get the pram before the baby’s born.

Not having the bassinet, though, that’s just inconvenient.

If bub does end up in a laundry basket, do please get photos.

When we wre plowing earlier this year dispatch came over the radio. “Trucks on 312, the car trying to get around you is a woman in labor, let her through.” I thought of you.

🙂 Snow brings babies. My dad was born in a freak ND blizzard on April 8th. At least now they’ll plow an ambulence to you if you need one!

If you’re noticing lots of extra hits on your blog…it’s probably just me peaking every 5 hours or so to see if there is an announcement. 🙂

Oh! And I found tiny smock with newborn size tucks! It all goes in the mail today!
