Hello March!
I know that not all months are equal and that pregnancy is officially counted in weeks, but, there is something more definite about March on the top of a calender that says ‘I only have one month left’. I distinctly remember counting weeks in July as to when I could tell anyone and all August looking forward to one more week passing. Thanksgiving was my official ‘can tell’ point and I looked at Christmas like I was almost there (back in July). I think I looked at the day by day calender for my birthday a million times because it was actually the earliest point possible that the baby could survive (with probably a million machines and doctors) on the outside. So February even had an extra day for me, doing its very best to let me believe there was more then a month but March is now really here.
I had a checkup on Friday where I saw a different doctor and different nurse and I really did not want to take off my sneakers and the usual nurse takes off 2 pounds and I told this one too but she said she would do it and then didn’t. She was saying that is was important to record exact weights to make sure nothing is wrong – and the obvious response is that if that is true, why do you insist on counting my sneakers and jeans? That’s when she said she would take off 2 pounds and then she didn’t because the very first thing the doctor said was, wow, you gained 4 pounds, are you feeling like you are retaining water? I told her no, I’m retaining sneakers and a pair of jeans…. So other then wasting 2 min of my 15 allotted with a medical professional she checked the bump and declared it perfect, head down, good size etc. She also said that in a week I’ll be considered full term and if I went into labor they would not stop me… I’m not ready for a week, I need the 4 that I have been counting on. I know life does not end and I can do plenty with a baby but I have alot of stuff to get done before baby is here including training my leave replacement and hopefully getting a bunch of the more messy projects squared away, not to mention wash and fold baby clothes.
So, yesterday I got a lot done, today I have more to do and Lars is right now painting a frame black to match all the other frames in the room so I can finish the art work. I also signed up for the blog every day challenge for March. The official theme is lists but since I had a regular post to do today I will do at least one post a day with a list and probably more regular content too since I’ll be writing anyway.

Try not to pay overly much attention to the MD’s et al so long as you feel ok
